Picking a studio can be tough. Especially when every kid
with Sonar and a Shure 57 calls themself "Pro Studio."
So here's a couple of advantages to working with me:
QUALITY
I use some of the best mics, preamps, plug-ins and
software on Planet Earth Every piece of gear is carefully
selected to maximize sound quality and client comfort. My
stuff is not just good for the money. It's good. Period.
FLEXIBILITY
There's no such thing as unconventional recording
with me. We all work best when we're comfortable. If you like
to sing in the dark... out go the lights.If your voice sounds
best through a $20 Radio Shack special... out go the $1000
vocal mics. My only goal is to make you sound great.
INVISIBILITY
That is to say, technology and the engineer try to
stay invisible. Just because I can make your guitar sound
like a spaceship doesn't mean I will. And no, I won't try
to change your songs. I'm here to record your vision, not
mine.
EXPERIENCE
Contrary to popular belief, gear alone doesn't make
a great record. You need an engineer who knows how to use
it. A graduate of the Institute of Audio Research in NYC,
I've been recording for 20 years...and working with Pro
Tools
on a daily basis for 10 of those years. I've recorded just
about every style known to man. And then some.
VALUE
Hmmm...all the above for under $30/hr.
I'll be the first to tell you that not every studio/engineer
is right for every project. And, if I'm not your guy, I'll
try to point you to a better fit.
The bottom line is this: You owe it to your music (and your
bank account) to give my services a second look.
